2009 Morrow
County Fair Boy Scout
Dutch Oven Contest and Pinewood Derby on
Labor Day, September 7th at 10am. The event will be held in/out
of the jr. fair youth building at the Morrow County Fairgrounds located
at
195 S Main St, Mt Gilead. |
| New Venturing Crew and New
Explorer Post Formed - Over this summer a new Crew and a new Post
have been created in Marion County. The Crew is 6050 and the Post
is 6025. See the Crews and Posts webpage for further contact
info. |
| Three New
Commissioners - Bill McCurdy for Marion, Matt Ricker for Wyandot,
and Nathan Sayers have agreed to serve as Unit Commissioner. See
the Commissioner page for info and pictures on each of these
individuals. |

Requirement Changes - The centennial edition of the Boy Scout
Handbook will soon be available, and with the new handbook come several
rank requirement changes that will be in effect as of January 1, 2010. |

new online training available. |

District Recognition Dinner 2009 was held on March 26th to honor new
Eagle Scouts and individuals who provided outstanding service to
scouting in the prior year. |

NEW ANNUAL HEALTH AND MEDICAL RECORD
The new one health and medical record form will replace the former Class
1, 2, and 3. These old forms will be phased out in 2009. The use of the
new form will be required effective January 1, 2010, as well as for the
2010 Jamboree. The new
forms are available on our website at www.bsa-heartofohio.org, at the
council office or in the 2009 Cub Scout and Boy Scout Summer Camp Leader
Guides. |
