The Klondike Derby was held at Kent Shane’s farm near Upper Sandusky, Ohio on February 6-8. The event had wonderful weather!  The Scouts worked on building bridges, fire building, knots and splicing, and games such as electric ring toss. We also held a sled race. Every one had a wonderful time. The winners of the sled race were: 1st place – Troop 47, 2nd Place – Troop 138, and 3rd Place – Troop 221. Winners in the fire building were: 1st Place – Troop 47, 2nd Place – Troop 52, and 3rd Place – Troop 35. In attendance were 151 Scouts and Scouters. I would like to thank the Order of the Arrow for providing the lunch and all of the Scouts who helped with the lunch. Thank you to Adam Willauer for conducting the sled race and those who helped him. I would like to extend a special thanks to Jim Shane and family for letting us use their farm for the event. Thanks to Troop 777 for hosting the event. The Spring Camporee will be held on the last weekend in April in Carey, Ohio.
